Christmas in Singapore

Having grown up on a tropical island, the English weather was starting to get me I jetted off to Singapore to spend the holidays with my parents and my sister.

We spent the majority of our first day lounging on sun beds, cooling off in the pool and snoozing away our jet lag.

By dinner time we were all starving so we had a wander down to China Town for some food. The place was bustling, street hawkers shouting, tourists browsing the stalls and wonderful smells coming from everywhere!

We grabbed ourselves a little feast…the only thing I cared about was the dim sum… And the noodles, and the prawns, and everything else.

After dinner, Katie and I were literally falling asleep in our plates. Mum and dad got us home and to bed where we both slept like logs but woke up at the crack of dawn raring to go.IMG_4213

Mum had been wanting to go to ‘Gardens by the Bay,’ for ages and since it was Christmas they had all the Christmas trees up so in the afternoon we made our way down there. It in one of the top ten indoor gardens in the world, and although I’m not as big a plant fan as mum, it was very interesting.IMG_4260IMG_4282IMG_4299

My favourite part however, was the OCBC Skyway and Supertrees. The man-made trees have a bridge running across them 22 metres above the ground and when night comes, they come alive with a light and music show whilst you walk across the bridge.IMG_4268IMG_4264IMG_4276IMG_4270IMG_4277

I know this post is super late and its mid February now, but better late than never!

I have lots more to share and post about also!

Feel free to comment and let me know if you’ve been to Singapore…
