I fell in love with Gigi Hadid’s look at the 2015 MTV Music Awards. The dress was a dream, as was her hair and makeup. I thought I would try to create a similar look on myself – despite me being a considerably more pale than her right now and a lot less ‘Supermodel-esque’!!
After I moisturised and primed my face I used a Bobbi Brown foundation brush to apply my foundation. The foundation I used for this look was a bit of a steal at £5.99 from Superdrug. Its called Collection Illuminating Touch and I use it in Honey. Its not too heavy and feels like more of a BB cream which was what I wanted for the look.
I then used my bronzing ball glow rocks which I swear by. I lighted dusted that over the bridge of my nose, cheekbones, chin and forehead. Don’t be afraid to go a bit mad with the bronzer, you want to look like you just stepped off a beach.
For my eyes I used my Urban Decay Naked 1 pallete. I covered pretty much the whole of my eye in Half Baked as Gigi has a very shimmery light base all over her eye.
Then for the crease I blended the colour Rule from Mac all in my crease and slightly up to the brow bone, making sure to blend so its only very subtle. For the lid I used some gold glitter, a MAC pigment in gold would work well. I got mine from an Asian makeup company called Gino McCray in Thailand but any glitter would work well. You just need to dab it on over the lid and I also went over the lid again in Half Baked just to make the glitter less ‘in your face.’ For my bottom lash line I used Half Baked and a little bit of Smog from the Urban Decay Palette.
I used Benefits They’re Real push-up liner to line my top lid, don’t do a flick as you want it to look as natural as possible. Same goes with the lashes I just put a coat of mascara on after I curled them. I used Benefit They’re Real mascara. You could us false lashes if you wish but only very feathery ones, they need to look natural.
Gigi has gorgeous natural brows but she’s a lot lighter haired than me, I just did my brows as usual but ‘fluffed’ them up a little with a brow brush. I also never used any brow mascara which I usually do, I think that would make them look a little too polished. This is a beachy look.
Always got to sneak a picture in of Rolo! If anyone is reading let me know if there is any type of past posts of mine you would like to see me to more of. I would love to hear some feedback. I’m still only new to this 🙂
