I was told about Sleek Makeup by a few other makeup artists I completed my training with, all good so I popped over to Boots to have a browse through their products.
The Sleek counter at the Boots I visited wasn’t huge so there was not a great deal to choose from but the blushers caught my eye. I picked one powder blush in shade Rose Gold, £4.99 (literally a dupe for NARS Orgasm!) and a lovely crème to powder blush in shade French Rose, £5.99 – it feels like velvet. If you’ve never used a creme blush before, you may want to have a little practice run but simply dab it onto the apples of your cheeks with your finger and blend in – build the colour up gradually.
Both blushers are gorgeous and give off a really natural radiant glow and I was really happy with them, especially as they were so affordable. I will definitely be going back to try some different shades.
My third purchase was their cream contouring kit in medium, £10.99, again quite affordable as you get 6 pans/shades in the kit. The product was really creamy so very easy to blend, which is definitely the key to contouring! However I found you have to really pack it on, especially if you want a heavily contoured look. The only thing I would say is you definitely need to set it with powder once you’re done as it will probably slide throughout the day/night.
No flash on the left and flash on the right.
Overall I would say definitely check out the Sleek counter next time you’re in Boots or Superdrug, or have a browse through their website, let me know what you got!
