I thought I’d update you all on Mabels current feeding routine now that she’s over 6 months. Mabel has been such a different baby in terms of feeding compared to Ava. Mabel is a lot easier in many ways and seems to have taken things in her stride a bit more than Ava did, Mabel was so ready to start eating solids whereas Ava wasn’t fussed.
I started weaning Mabel when she turned 6 months so about 5 weeks ago now. She’s been brilliant and loves everything I’ve given her, savoury and sweet. She’s already eating 3 big meals a day with a couple of snacks in between. As I’m sure most of you do, I always try to pick organic where and when I can when it comes to feeding my babies Ever since Mabel turned 6 months old I have been using the brand new ‘Aptamil Organic Follow On Milk’ and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
Made with certified organic ingredients, the new organic range is inspired by 40 years of breast milk research – it was super important to me to find a follow on milk that I could trust and have confidence in the ingredient and formulation. I’m a big believer in breastfeeding and I was hugely disappointed when I had to stop with Mabel, thankfully, when I started to use Aptamil Organic Follow On Milk my ‘mum guilt’ was gradually eased.
It’s tailored to complement a weaning diet and includes the essential vitamins your baby needs such as A, C & Vitamin D to support the normal function of the immune system, and also iron. This is extremely important for me to know that during the early weaning stage she’s still getting the nutrients she needs from her follow on milk as some meal times are a bit hit and miss, often more ends up on the floor than in her mouth so therefore Aptamil Organic Follow On Milk is the obvious and only choice for Mabel and I.
Mabel seems to really love it too. She’s settled very well on it, never refuses a feed and guzzles it all down in record time. It’s so comforting for me to see her enjoying the Aptamil Organic Follow On Milk and seeing her flourishing on it too. I’ll definitely continue to keep Mabel on this follow on formula for the foreseeable. I really trust the brand and admire the extensive and continuous research they do to always try and better their product, for mum and baby.
Just to touch quickly on the packaging and how easy the product is to use because I know simplicity is a big factor as a parent, at least it is for me. Aptamil Organic Follow On Milk has a built-in leveller so you can quickly, easily and accurately measure out your scoops. There’s also a handy little clip to attach the scoop on the under side of the lid so you’re not scooping through the powder to find it! The powder is also so fine it mixes like a dream. It’s an all rounder really isn’t it?!
Disclaimer from Aptamil Organic Follow On Milk: IMPORTANT NOTICE: Breastfeeding is best for babies. Follow On Milk should only be used as part of a mixed diet and not as a breast milk substitute before 6 months. Use on advice of your healthcare professional.
This is a sponsored post but my review and thoughts are totally my own and honest. I genuinely love the product and have no complaints, I’ve already recommended it to a few mummies I’ve spoken too and been out to buy lots more tubs myself. It’s available in shops and online now so if you haven’t seen it yet keep your eyes open and give it a try. Like I said earlier on I will be continuing to keep Mabel on it, as she loves it, and I’m confident in the fact that it contains certified organic ingredients and complements her weaning diet.
