These two are definitely partners in crime. Feeling so emotional right now!! Last night Ava took a long time to go to sleep, I had been playing white noise on my phone for a while whilst cuddling her, but started skipping through them to find her favourite one when ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ by Elton John came on. It’s one of my favourite songs and very peaceful so I left it on, and Ava immediately stopped struggling and fighting sleep, and just snuggled into me and fell asleep. I just sat there with her lying on me and replayed the song about 4 times (not going to lie there was a few tears from me). Exactly the same thing happened tonight, and she fell asleep to it again 🥰 The Lion King is my favourite Disney film and as a child I used to do shows for my parents from behind the sofa with my Lion King teddies, and the scene with this song on was the one I always did. I was just so amazed at how she instantly relaxed and fell asleep once it came on after an hour or so of fighting sleep...I think I’ve found ‘our song.’ Also look how young my little lion cub looks in these photos 🦁😭 Do you and your baby have a song? Holiday blues 🌺 This little lady had her 12 month injections today (2 months late I know). She’s been a trooper and I was definitely way more upset that her. Thank goodness that’s it for a while now...

Testing out our new Nautilus Elite car seat from @graco_uk 🥰 So far so good, Ava has been falling asleep in it straight away so it must be comfy! I love the fact this car seat will grow with her till she’s 12 years old, and the drinks holder is a great addition to the seat - perfect for her to put a drink in when we’re doing those long journeys up north.
